At the top of the hill is the observation deck of the same name, which overlooks Nai Harn beach and the islets scattered in the sea. Every evening, hundreds of Phuket residents come here for the incredible beauty of the setting sun. The red disc sinks in the flat surface of the sea, which is occasionally disturbed by sailing yachts and boats, the clouds acquire a magical peach hue. Promthep is a very beautiful and romantic place: some are photographed against the background of the sunset, others are hugging, and others are simply enjoying the beautiful view. The entrance to the observation deck is free.

O. Boracay, Philippines

It is believed that the Philippines has the most beautiful sunsets on the planet. This is achieved due to the special conditions in the atmosphere: huge air masses that collect over the water surface and create bizarre optical effects, patterns, sometimes even rainbows. The beauty and uniqueness of the Philippine sunsets are difficult to convey through photography or video. The inhabitants of the islands, including the most popular island among tourists, Boracay, enjoy this fabulous spectacle every evening. For many, this is even included in the ritual - daily watching the sunsets on the beach in a hammock or lounger with a glass of tropical cocktail.

In the dawn hour, the singularity and grandeur makes one think about the place and role of man in the natural world. People at this time, as a rule, are few - photographers who came to catch a good shot, artists working alone, and tourists who decided to meet a new day here. The main tourist groups arrive no earlier than 10 am: you can get here only by sightseeing buses, private transport is prohibited here.

How beautiful is the sunrise. How it excites the mind, fascinates and fills us with an inexplicable feeling of lightness. Dawn is the beginning of a new day, a great opportunity to take the most of it and spend it in such a way as to remember every moment of it.

Nature reveling in sunshine, the incredible smell of a new day - what could be better than this moment, which every person can contemplate at dawn.

The beginning of a new day

Watching the sunrise is incredibly interesting. After all, you can become a piece of a little magic created by nature. And how beautiful are the pictures and photos of this beautiful phenomenon, which you can look at for eternity.

Many photographers are fond of creating masterpiece photos that depict the sunrise. They can become a screensaver on your desktop, be used as a postcard to a loved one and wish you a good morning.

Dawn is the most beautiful time of the day, because it is just beginning, which means that you can live it the way you want. Watching how nature wakes up by the minute, is filled with energy and light, the mood rises, vigor and inspiration appear.

Nature awakening

At dawn. This happens in a matter of minutes. The sun's rays break through the mist, scattering it. The sky gradually changes its color, playing with paints.

The photos in which we managed to capture this are incredibly beautiful and mysterious. They convey the reality of the phenomenon that nature makes it possible to admire every day.

Beautiful pictures that can decorate your computer desktop can be selected for every taste. The magical works contain an image of dawn in the forest. What could be more beautiful than the awakening trees, through the crowns of which the first rays of the sun break through, hitting the ground. Every blade of grass, twig, flower is saturated with them. All nature absorbs the morning smell.

Gradually in the morning light the fog dissipates, giving the earth an early coolness, pacification, delight. The rising sun awakens animals, birds living in the forest. From all this, you can paint pictures, because in this light, nature looks pristine, pure, immaculate.

Pictures and photos, looking at which you want to plunge into this atmosphere, can be installed on your desktop, sent by mail to a loved one, a friend, sharing your excellent mood with him.

Beautiful morning time

Dawn symbolizes the beginning of something new. It is for this reason that the photos and pictures in which he is captured are saturated with a certain mystery. During the time the luminary hides in the sea, and during the dawn it is born again, and you can look at this phenomenon endlessly.

The sea, the rays of the sun, filling the endlessly blue water, awakening all its inhabitants - this is the rise of the brightest star that brightens the entire Earth.

The sea is incredibly beautiful during sunrise, it seems to come to life, each of its drops wins in the sun, is charged with its energy. All the most beautiful things on Earth were created by nature. Therefore, pictures depicting a sunrise are able to illuminate, decorate a desktop, are not only a category in demand among people looking for beautiful work, but also among those who regularly replenish these collections.

Morning is the finest time of the day... This is pure, untouched air, living and inanimate nature awakening after sleep, awakening the deep sea. Sunrise is a day that has just begun. You can fill it with optimism, fulfill all your plans, give your loved ones a smile, and take it the way you want it.

Bromo to Semeru. The most beautiful sunrise. January 30th, 2018

If you type in any search engine "volcanoes of Indonesia", then in the first rows you will surely see a fascinating composition of three volcanoes among the clouds.

This picture is a visiting card of Indonesian volcanoes.

Every day hundreds of people gather at the observation deck of Mount Penanjakan to watch the sun rise over the volcanoes.

In the background Semeru puffs - the most high volcano Me you. Ahead - the bitten forms of the smoking crater of the volcano Bromo. And quite ahead, as if combed with a comb, is the long extinct volcano Batok. And all this great company is swimming in the cloudy sea.

Actually, that's all.

No, of course you understand, in order to see all this you must at least get to the observation deck. And it is advisable to get there somewhere in the middle of the night in order to take a place among the suffering, in order to freeze and languish as it should, so that the first rays of the sun would be met with greater delight.

It all starts with getting up at one in the morning. Then mopeds, jeeps, dozens of jeeps, hundreds of people, the feeling of the new year on Red Square.

Already accustomed to everything, dexterous passengers jumped on mopeds.
There were not enough mopeds for everyone. But then they managed to fix it.

After mopeds, jeeps seemed to be generally super reliable transport. Moreover, this time we were driving not along some cliffs, but along mysterious fields.

Gradually, other jeeps began to join our caravan of jeeps.
And I'll tell you what. I've never seen so many jeeps in my life. And not even that at one time. In general, for all my life. These were jeep caravans. I had no idea that there could be so many of them in all of Indonesia.

And all these jeeps raced across the field in the dark, gradually merging into one stream. Which, as you might guess, soon began to turn into a standing swamp.

And all sorts of food points appeared on the sides. And the people who sat, ate, watched, stood.
The atmosphere of a weekend fair hung in the air. Only, as I understand it, such a fair is here every day.

However, I could of course be wrong.
Maybe on other days it is not so crowded here.
Don't forget that we were in the midst new year holidays, which even in Indonesia have not yet ended. And the weather forecast for that day was as pleasant as possible for contemplating the dawn.
We did not tie our dates to weather forecasts. We were just really lucky. But not all the same.

So, under cover of darkness, we got to a certain point, from where we still had to go on foot in order to reach the very place where all these crowds of the same greedy for beauty as we rushed.

And then - everything. Sit and wait.
You can drink tea, eat corn, sit on a rented plastic chair ... But in principle, there are not many activities and they all boil down to one thing - to keep your position on the observation deck.

And when patience is running out, when all these crowds of bustling photographers begin to annoy a little (at this moment, of course, no one remembers that he also has a camera in his hands), a light show begins for which all this was started.

And everything is forgotten. Wake up early, stupid road, din and bustle.

And then out of the darkness the contours of the volcanoes declared for viewing begin to appear.
And now bang - look, admire!

And then the day comes. And it all ends somehow. In addition to our grandiose plans.

The last photo for memory. And it's time for us to go.

Volcano Bromo awaits us. There he is in the photo on the left - with bitten edges and smoke in the crater. Yes. In this case, these are not stray clouds. This is the most smoke from volcanic activity.
And now remember this beautiful almost round shape of the caldera. The next part of my Indonesian memoirs will focus on her.

And again on the road. With jeeps. Traffic jams. Semkami. Songs and dances. Probably the most beautiful place of our trip.

From the IA diary, partly telling what we did later.

Everyone loves to watch the sunsets, and if you watch this picturesque sight in beautiful place, then the pleasure will definitely be double. From the most crowded cities to the heart of the desert, in this collection you will find places where amazing sunsets appear in all their glory. It's time to plan a new trip, and perhaps you decide to visit just one of these incredible places.

The panorama of the volcanoes Bromo, Semeru and Kursi is one of the calling cards of Indonesia and, in general, one of the calling cards of the natural beauty of the Earth.
And the business card is subconscious. Just like in the case of Sosusvlei in Namibia. Everyone has seen this landscape more than once, but they do not know where it is.

So, this wonderful panorama is located in the east of Java and it is not so difficult to see it. How easy it is to look into the breathing bowels of the Bromo volcano.

Get to Seromo Lawang village from Yogyakarta by public transport - the occupation is very tedious because of the transfers and the low speed of the island buses. It is possible that you will have to spend the night in the city of Probolinggo - the outport of the volcanic massif. Hitchhiking in a day is also not easy.
The best option for those who do not want to waste time is a tourist minibus from Yogyakarta to Seromo Lawang. It costs $ 16 per person, you can buy a ticket at any travel agency. The minibus picks up from the hotel early in the morning and scratches all day along the narrow roads of Java past endless villages and fields of rice and corn. The lesson is a little tedious even for a geographer. Still, plain Java is a bit boring landscape. But the minibus has an air conditioner.
You arrive already in the dark. If you bought a hotel in advance from a travel agency (a double room will cost $ 12 per room), then you will be accommodated. True, not in the hotel that was promised and not in the conditions that were originally offered (a shower for that kind of money will be in the corridor and a little warm, and the rooms are miserable).
If you do not take a hotel in advance, you can try to find it yourself in Seromo Lavang, but the prices will be the same. We partnered with a Dutch couple and rented a cozy chalet with hot showers for $ 33. It is very cold here at night, so a hot shower is highly recommended.
You can dine at the hotel restaurant, but it's much cheaper to eat at the local eatery. Just hurry up - both the first and the second close very early.
At night there are heavy fogs, visibility of about 10 meters. Plus it is very cold, after the seaside heat it is very pleasing.
The main reason for coming here is meeting the dawn with a view of the volcanoes. Dawn is met at the observation deck on the Penanjakan volcano. You can get there on foot in three hours, but you have to go out at 2 am, and the path in the dark is not obvious in places. Therefore, the easiest and most painless way is to take a jeep tour for $ 10 per person.
At 4 in the morning, jeeps drive through the hotels, and the race begins. To get to the volcano, you need to overcome the plain covered with a thick layer of ash (or as it is called here Sand Sea, the Sea of \u200b\u200bSand).
This is a must see! Night fog swirls around, sand and ash fly from under the wheels. The car flies up on every bump, there are no roads - only the direction. On the right and left, the beams of the headlights of other jeeps are illuminated through the fog. You involuntarily imagine the whole picture: dozens of jeeps, roaring, rush along the plain covered with ash. You feel like a participant in a massive assault, as if we had begun an invasion of an unknown enemy. It is a pity, there is no soundtrack from the movie Starship Troopers with you, the composition Klendathu Drop would fit perfectly.
After 10-15 minutes of such a "race across the steppe" a road appears and takes you steeply into the mountains. Jeeps line up in a column and, without slowing down, pass one sharp turn of the track after another. Branches and lianas beat on the roof. Now this is no longer an invasion of an alien planet, but a banal coup in a banana republic. Now our column will cross the mountain ridge and fall on the sleepy capital, and we will burst into the presidential palace ...
... But instead, jeeps slow down at a tourist flare, where, along with standard souvenirs, vendors offer hats and gloves, as well as warm jackets for rent. The jacket, by the way, comes in handy. Really very cold.

There is still half an hour before dawn, and about a hundred people are already standing on the observation deck. And this is only the beginning - by the climax of the action there will be about three hundred of them. August is the high season in Indonesia for both tourists and locals. The latter are more than half of all viewers. And they make a terrible noise - very much like Chinese tourists in China.
However, soon the dawn begins, and you stop paying attention to them.

The secret of success is to climb over the fence that separates the platform from the abyss and settle down with a camera on the edge of the cliff. Then no one bothers to enjoy the sunrise and take the necessary pictures.
When dawn begins, you don't know where to look. Or the sun creeping out from behind the mountains to the left. Or down, where the morning fog literally flows down the plain, revealing the trees that seem like toy trees from here.

Or, in fact, on the opposite volcanoes, which gradually turn pink, then fiery, and finally take on natural daytime colors.

All color music takes about half an hour.

Let's get acquainted. The largest volcano in the background is Semeru (3676 m), highest point Java islands. The volcano often erupts, which adds a fair amount of charm to the entire panorama. But on our arrival he was silent.
The ideal cone with a cut off top is the Kursi volcano (2581 m). He, in my opinion, is the most beautiful here.
And Bromo? But Bromo is not visible because of the morning fog. This is a low volcano (2392 m), completely lost against the background of the rest, if not for constant activity - thick white smoke is constantly pouring from the volcano, which is clearly visible in all photos.

If you wait a few hours for the fog to clear, you can see the whole panorama. But it's time for us to move on, we return to the jeep and drive down to the Bromo volcano.
After 15 minutes the car brakes in the middle of thick fog. “Bromo is there,” the driver says happily, pointing to nowhere. We go in the direction of this nowhere. Visibility - ten meters. It smells strongly of sulfur.

Periodically, riders fly out of the fog and offer a ride. But in fact, it's not far here - to walk 300-400 meters.
A slight rise, and here it is a volcano. A staircase has been carefully laid to its top.

After what I've seen from Penanjakan, Bromo seems like a small, almost homely volcano. But it's still interesting to take a short climb and look inside. The feeling that I looked into the chimney of a thermal power station.
By the way, the smell of sulfur even begins to like it over time.

The crowd at the foot makes you remember egyptian pyramids or about Peter, but not for long. In a couple of hours, the tourists will disperse, and the sellers and riders will also perish.

Of all the places we have visited in Indonesia, I probably most regret not staying another day in the vicinity of Bromo. I did not breathe fresh mountain air, did not walk along the slopes, did not go to observation deck and did not look at the volcanoes during the day and evening.
Well, there is a reason to return ...
